Some of The Great Who Has Been Snubbed By The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
--
Awww Yeah, your boy is back at it again with another super-hot blog for that ass. If you are new to reading some of my literary madness, all are welcome. But if you’re down with QAnon, I feel bad for you guys that things didn’t work out again. John F Kennedy Junior could not make it to your rally in Dallas because he’s been dead for over twenty years you dumb asses!
I like to give a mad shout-out to all my blog homies, blog Divas, and to all my megalomaniacs from around the country. Also from across the pond worldwide and beyond. I love you all for always holding me down no matter what!
Now I like to say Hongera (Swahili for Congratulations) to Jay-Z, LL Cool J and the Black Godfather Clarence Avant. All of them bust their ass to get this honor and it’s well deserved. I remember when people used to laugh at Hip Hop and said it would not last, some of them were the same people who said it also got rich off it as well. As they were making their announcement for the inductees, it made me think who isn’t in the rock-and-roll hall of fame who should be in there with honors. I can’t front. I was really shocked when I found out who hasn’t made it in the rock-and-roll hall of fame. They made glorious music and really contributed to the music industry in a big way changing the game forever.
The list of people I’m going to tell you I think they all should be recognized right now before they are no longer here with us on earth. I’m going to drop names and I know you’re going to be surprised as I was checking it out. The Delfonics are not in the rock-and-roll hall of fame. Quentin Tarantino started doing something many people in the movie industry did not do. We know it as a needle drop. He put the Delfonics music in Jackie Brown. I loved the movie with fine ass Pam Grier.
For the Delfonics not to be in the hall of fame to me, this is unbelievable they made Didn’t I (Blow your mind this time), La- La (Means I love you), Ready or not here I come. My favorites are Tell me this is it a dream, Break your promise and I gave to you.
Here is another big one John Coltrane wow! He made Afro Blue, Alabama, Blue train, All or nothing at all, Love Supreme. And many more but the one I love is My favorite thing he remade from the sound of music movie. Diana Ross made a beautiful version of My Favorite things. I love that one too. Oh yeah, Diana Ross is not in the rock-and-roll hall of fame either and what people don’t want to tell you about the sound of music is they were dealing with Nazis in the movie.
Here is another big one y’all Patti La Belle is not in the rock and roll hall of fame the queen of them all. The Diva that can blow the doors off of any concert hall changed the game with her group Le Bell. Their costumes were off-the-chain funk space queens. There, smash hit Lady Marmalade rocked everybody with funk & soul in the sizzling hot seventies.
Soon after Patti went solo and dropped If you ask me too. New Attitude, Somebody loves you (And you know who it is). On my own she did with Michael Mc Donald and so many others. I can write a whole blog on Patti La Belle. She is a nice person. I met her when I was working at the Bellevue hotel; she is so down-to-earth and friendly. Here is a name of a super talented group that will blow your mind: the Whispers are not in the rock-and-roll hall of fame!
This is another travesty in the music industry they made. I only met to wet my feet, Just say yes, Are you going my way, Love is where you find it, The beat goes on, Rock steady, Lady. And the ones I love are Chocolate girl, I want to make it good to you, Get you in the mood and Lost and turned out and so many more.
Here is another one that is huge. The Spinners are not in the rock and roll hall of fame. I think this is crazy. They made One of a kind (Love affair), Could it be I’m falling in love, It’s a shame, They just can’t stop it (Games people play). The ones I love are The Rubberband man, Love don’t love nobody and Sadie. R. Kelly did a version of Sadie. He is the only person that could get away with doing one of their songs and he killed it too because his voice is so soulful.
Here's another big one y’all Kool & the Gang is not in the rock and roll hall of fame they made Summer madness, Jungle Boogie I love that song. Ladies night, Joanna, Fresh, Get down on it, Open Sesame, Celebration, Its too Hot, and my favorite Hollywood Swinging. Well, I knew this one Rick James is not in the rock and roll hall of fame I think it’s a fucking shame but it’s true. The King of punk-funk is not in there Gawd damn there is something really wrong Rick James embodied the rock & roll lifestyle every day of his life he changed music and he was so free to say and do what he wanted to do making great music. He made You & I, Mary Jane, Love Gun, Fire it up, Give it to me baby and his big smash hit Super Freak. I love Fire and Desire he did with Tina Marie and Ebony eyes he did with Smokey Robinson plus Standing on the top he did with the Temptations. Another big one is War. This is another crazy one they made Why can’t we be friends, Galaxy, I’m an outlaw baby. The world is a ghetto, and the song I love is Slipping into darkness. And so many others.
Here is one for y’all Dionne Warwick. I know a lot of you people thought she went bat shit when she started doing the Psychic hotline horse shit. Dionne’s music is really good and classic. Go to YouTube and check out her fantastic music. I say a little prayer, Do you know the way to San Jose? The theme from Valley of the dolls, I’ll never love this way again, Don’t make me over, That’s what friends are for and so many others.
Here are a few hip-hop cats Outkast is the incredible southern hip-hop duo. Nas the Queen bridge God on the Mic who spit street movie soundtracks with every song and Philly’s own the incomparable Roots. I think they should be in there as well. Check this out here is one I know a lot of y’all don’t know or do not care about and that is Joe Tex. Songs like ``I got Ja” and ``Doing the funky chicken. I think he should be in there as well because his music was so funky, he made it with Stax Records. What about Ben E King? He did Stand by me. It’s classic and so soulful.
What many people don’t know about me is that I love rock music. Here is a band I don’t know too much about their music and that’s Iron Maiden. I only know one song called Run for the hills. They are not in the rock-and-roll hall of fame. I only know that song because they used to run their video all the time back in the days on MTV. The same thing with this band. I only know one song by them and that’s Motorhead. I saw them on the headbangers ball on MTV doing The Ace of Spades.
I love that song they used in the movie Smokin Aces. It is a shame that Lammy is no longer with us anymore. Now this rock band I know a lot about, and I love their music Motley Crue Girl’s Girl’s Girl’s, Shout at the devil, Home Sweet Home, and my two favorites are Doctor Feelgood and Wild Side. I can’t believe they’re not in the rock and roll hall of fame. Ozzy Osbourne is not in the rock and roll hall of fame as a solo act; he’s in there with Black Sabbath. Thin Lizzy should be in the rock and roll hall of fame they did The boys are back in town and the one I love is It going to be a jailbreak. The bass line on that song is so funny!
Here is a band a lot of y’all will laugh at me but I love their music and that’s the B 52’s they did Love shack, and Rock Lobster. It’s a crazy-ass song but I like it. There is another one that’s a Goddamn shame is New Order. I love Blue Monday now it’s in about a hundred television commercials and nobody knows who they are. I save the really big one for last check this out Pat Benatar is not in the rock and roll hall of fame! Wow! They did We Belong, Hit me with your best shot, Love is a Battlefield. I love that song and You better run and so many others.
If anybody deserved to be in the rock and roll hall of fame it’s Pat Benatar and her husband, the great guitarist Neil Giraldo. I know life is not fair, but this doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. There are so many great musicians I named and many others I did not put in this blog that need to be recognized for their innovations and contributions to the music industry right now. As we say in the streets, they need to get their flowers while they’re still here, not when they’re gone.
